a Note from Jonathan, (before we talk about the Lymphatic System tomorrow)
This week has been a strangely unexpected week with a handful of strange unforeseen… unfortunate events, but somehow I stayed calm and laughed most of it off… which can be kind of difficult for me at times. What this tells me is that despite my situation, I must be in a pretty healthy mental space compared to where I know my head space has been in the last couple years.
I don’t know about you, but knowing myself, knowing my tendencies and keeping track of where I’m at and how I’m doing has always been a huge help for me in my personal health journey. How are you doing this week? Have you checked in with yourself? Where’s your headspace at? What can we do to help get you where you wanna be.
For most of the month of May and June I accidentally (then purposely) decided to stop watching the news or engaging with news, media, political coverage like I was since the beginning of the year. I was recongizing its damage to my mental health, my sleep, my ambitious abilities to make a passionate purposeful impact in my local area.
In the last month alone I’ve met with over a dozen local professionals, jumped in 3-5 professional organizations as a first time attendee to get myself more in the mix of local events and I’ve taken on some pretty odd responsibilities. I might talk about these things more in coming weeks in my paid community posts like The Zag” 🤫 as I know more about my future going forward in my local area.
Local is where life becomes meaningful if you ask me. If we’re not living within our locality, I’m not sure how much living we can really do if we’re only mingling nationally with people online but perhaps I’m just quite unfamiliar with that walk of life. I’m very grateful for my local folks, enlightened hearts, and even still the strangers who still call me out thinking I’m a walking around by myself.
Unforgiving is my desire to impact people’s lives. I’ve tried this in many ways shapes and forms so far and nothing has really helped me stay sane along the way… but I’m still striving and I’m still writing to help get the message out about helpful healthful strategies for those who care to read, who care to improve, and are ready for real-world impact in their own lives.
Is that you? Do you know someone else who would be a good reader to bring into the publication? Please share and reach out to them to see what we can do to promote their personal health journey too.
Last week someone asked me what I believe to be the number one obstacle keeping people from making lasting change in their decision to live a healthier lifestyle. Immediately I mentioned how Health is a relationship with ourselves and with others. We equally need to nurture our self-care without shame or guilt as part of our path as much as we need to bring others along in our journey. And most certainly I believe most people benefit best when they 1) hold someone’s hand and 2) bring along a buddy. Not using someone else as a security blanket but as a means of accountability when both people are ready to make a change and they both care about promoting the other. Community. Connection.
So, I’m kind of like that everyday coach, constantly talking to people and trying to educate them about all the ways they can improve their health, most often in ways they’ve never even thought about before. Make it easy. Make it simple. Make it accessible and affordable. Am I making money doing that right now? Nope, but I’m not in this world to make money. I’m in this world because my creator presented me with something inside of my heart that is unquenched if I am not helping others.
New horizons, they await us still, so wait and see we will. We shall enjoy the sunshine until that time. Peace and Blessings ✌️💙 ☀️
